This is the only bur oak (Quercus macrocarpa) on the property. It's near the dumpster in the Police Department parking lot. It lost all of its leaves early in the summer of 2008, and appeared to be dying, but it has recovered and looks fairly vigorous now. The arborists cut the top out of it this summer, probably because it is so near the electrical lines.
