Richard Groves -- Public Services Librarian. In the library we distinguish between public services and technical services. As the title suggests, public services are all those things that you see, use, and experience when you come to the library--the staff and services at the circulation desks and the reference desk, the public and catalog computers, programs for people of all ages, the way materials are shelved, the management of the meeting and study rooms, the displays everywhere in the library, even the signs that provide information and way-finding. Richard oversees all of these things and supervises the public services staff.
